Universita Degli Studi di Roma

The University of Rome Tor Vergata (UNITV) is an Associated Partner in the SpecX Doctoral UNITV will contribute through its Department of Electronic Engineering, providing advanced research supervision, specialised training, and hosting of secondments for doctoral candidates. The Doctoral School in Electronic Engineering will host DC8, focusing on “Spectrum resource allocation for integrated communication and sensing.” UNITV will draw on its strong expertise in wireless networks, localisation and sensing technologies, and programmable communication systems to advance research on next-generation 6G architectures that seamlessly integrate communication, sensing, and intelligence.

Founded in 1982, the University of Rome Tor Vergata is one of Italy’s leading universities, hosting over 40,000 students across 120 degree programmes. Its Department of Electronic Engineering is internationally recognised for excellence in Information and Communication Technologies, with laboratories dedicated to Telecommunications Networks, Sensors and Microsystems, Satellite Telecommunications, and Radar Systems. UNITV researchers have coordinated multiple large-scale EU projects and ERC grants, contributing to major advances in networking, wireless systems, and localisation technologies.
